SOLID PROJECT IS LOOKING FOR CODERS (ERC-SYG-810356)
Solid is a 6 years project funded by the European Research Council, guided by prof. Hanspeter Kriesi, Professor of Political Science at the European University Institute, Prof. Waltraud Schelkle, Professor in Political Economy at the London School of Economics, and Maurizio Ferrera, Professor of Political Science at Università degli Studi di Milano.
The project is hiring TWO collaborators for a job as coder.
We are ideally looking for a PhD candidate who would have some experience with coding newspaper data, even if this is not mandatory. For the task, native knowledge of Dutch is required.
The objective of the task is the reading and codification of Dutch newspapers with the aim of analyzing the Dutch electoral campaign of 2021, the political conflict in it and the issues that dominated it. Coders would have to read and code the actors, issues and contents of approximately 400 articles appearing in the Dutch press in the winter-spring of 2021.
The coder will have a collaboration contract with the Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli in Milano (contratto di collaborazione occasionale) and will be paid 15 euros net for a total of 80 hours of coding. The contract will have a duration of 90 days, from 15 november to 15 february, payment will be made in two instalments, one at the end of december and the other one at the end of february.
